Comic Con 2025

I finished my Agatha Harkness costume for Comic Con. It is the outfit she wears when she is gathering a coven. I found similar shoes, but they were navy. A little black dye fixed that.

Then I had to make over a striped blouse to look like the one she wears. 

First I cut off the cuffs and then cut the front higher. Then I  used tea and painted it on with a paintbrush. I had the perfect buttons in my button jar (given to me by my grandmother). I have a hat, sunglasses and a pair of jeans I cropped a bit shorter. 

I will make sure to get pictures at Comic Con!

Flapper? I Barely Know Her!

I am playing a part in a murder mystery play. While I am trying to make my dress, I went ahead and ordered one from Unique Vintage just in case I don’t have it done in time. 




 I have the shoes and a cute wig, so I am pretty much set.

I am so excited as this may be the only play I am in this year. With my sister in laws health being bad, I need to be available to help her.

Distractions

I hope all of you have had a great Halloween. I had planned on a nice Halloween article and of course my usual Friday Finds article but I have been distracted by the threat of a strike or possible lock out at my husband's work. This has been a very big worry for him and we have been attending Union meetings, reading contract proposals and following the negotiations. I hate that real life has put such a crimp into my fashion life. That is the real world though. We all have to deal with these things. If a strike does happen I will be cinching in my belt and halting my purchases. Will that mean I can no longer follow fashion? No. It just means I will have to become more creative with it. You will have at least a week or two of Friday Finds as I have last week's to post still and I did go shopping this weekend so there will be another after that *smile* Let's hope that I can continue. (don't let my husband hear that LOL! He would prefer I stop shopping.)
