These hot monsoonal  days of Summer make it very hard to find anything to wear in my closet. Everything just feels like it is over done. That is when I resort to simple lightweight shirt dresses. Maybe I will get lucky and catch a breeze!

Feeling Zen

I am on a month long Challenge to get back in shape. Part of this Challenge is to post pictures of me doing things that stretch my boundaries. I have not done yoga in a long, long time. In fact my orthopedic doctor expressly forbade it. Yeah, I am such a rebel! It feels good to go outside my limits. I am glad I am doing something for myself. We get so caught up in doing for others that we forget to take care of ourselves. Take care of yourself today!

A Half Marathon.... Have I lost my mind?

Dear stylish friends, The past couple months have been ones of rollercoaster emotions. One of my nieces has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. To say we all are devastated is an understatement. I am a person of action, though and since there is not much I can do for her (other than send her LOVE) I decided to do a charity run for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. A half marathon to be exact. Ummm I have never ran a race before. I am old and out of shape. I have NO idea if people will help out and donate so I can reach my goal. All I know is that I have to do something or I will go crazy! Please if you can help me and use the widget that I am installing on this blog to donate to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Let your friends know. Maybe in our lifetime we can beat these disease and no more children or adults will have to hear these chilling words from their doctor "You have cancer."
