A Half Marathon.... Have I lost my mind?

Dear stylish friends, The past couple months have been ones of rollercoaster emotions. One of my nieces has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. To say we all are devastated is an understatement. I am a person of action, though and since there is not much I can do for her (other than send her LOVE) I decided to do a charity run for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. A half marathon to be exact. Ummm I have never ran a race before. I am old and out of shape. I have NO idea if people will help out and donate so I can reach my goal. All I know is that I have to do something or I will go crazy! Please if you can help me and use the widget that I am installing on this blog to donate to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Let your friends know. Maybe in our lifetime we can beat these disease and no more children or adults will have to hear these chilling words from their doctor "You have cancer."

If you are like me then you have favourite tv shows and characters that inspire you. Right now I am really into "Once Upon A Time." I love the mix of fairytale fantasy and modern day reality. It makes me feel as that if I wish really, really hard maybe I could drive to the next town and be in another world *grin*. Okay so I know that is never going to happen, but what can really happen is wearing clothing inspired by my fav characters. I really like Belle. she is so pretty and spunky. Her clothing may be modern but it has many vintage touches. I was pretty stoked last week to see that her plaid coat (you only get a quick glimpse of it in Gold's shop) is the same as my new coat I just bought! Last night's episode had her in such a cute outfit that I had to see if I could shop my wardrobe and see if I could come up with a copy. I think I came pretty darn close!

I wore this to take the dog to the vet and to go to the grocery store. I was actually stopped and told how cute I looked. Wow. I guess I need to dress like Belle more often!
