A Day At Downtown Disney

The weather has been lovely so I decided to take my eldest daughter and the grandkids shopping. We hadn’t been to downtown Disney in a few years so decided to go. Wow, it has changed. Many of the clothes boutiques are gone, replaced by restaurants. That was sad as we were really hoping to shop at Little Miss Matched. The Disney Dress Shop was still there and those dresses are super cute!

I liked this one and my daughter pointed out it was monogrammed with a P, for Peldyn lol

Sadly, it was not in my budget. Downtown Disney is between Disneyland and California Adventure. You don’t need a ticket to go, but they do have a bag search and you have to walk through a scanner. The parks were decorated for Halloween

We also went to the local Daiso. It is a dollar store chain from Japan. I bought mostly stickers and washi tape for stocking stuffers. I like to get a head start on my Yule shopping.

We had so much fun, but it was a very exhausting day. Hopefully we can go again soon as I saw a few items at World of Disney that would make excellent gifts!

ReMix OOTD

Some older pieces from my wardrobe remixed. 

Dress from Hot Topic, Cardigan from Target. Both off the clearance rack. My goal has been to try and wear more of my wardrobe this year. 

My poor boots are looking a bit shabby. Still comfy and warm though. Hopefully they will make it through until next year. Are you buying new winter boots or trying to make do?

In Vested

Winter is already here in some parts of the world. Most of us are having at least cooler days. When it gets chilly I turn to layers to keep warm. I see that this year the knitted/crocheted vest is having its spotlight. I am not sure what I think yet.  I used to wear them when I was much thinner.

Wear with a long sleeved shirt? Tucked in? Oversized shirt or regular size? My brain is spinning.

Anthro is calling this a bralette. What?

The oversized shirt is a good look though. 

I did order this one from Cider. If I am lucky it will get to me before Winter is over.

Pandemics, Outages, and Apathy

The last year and a half have been challenging. I wore mostly pjs and leggings. Stopped shopping. Tried to just get by each day. With California seeing a drop in transmission rates we are trying to get some semblance of normalcy back. I started wearing real clothes again. I went to a concert! I even bought some new clothes. This has been a life changing event. I started crocheting again. I worry less about being fashionable. I hope to spend more time with those I love.
